Food Cooking Guide

Welcome to the GladiusRO Food Cooking System! This guide explains how to prepare status-boosting food through the Master Chef.

Talk to the Master Chef to view recipes, check your materials, and cook food.

Available Food Categories

The Master Chef can prepare food that temporarily increases one of the following stats:

• STR +1 to +10
• AGI +1 to +10
• VIT +1 to +10
• INT +1 to +10
• DEX +1 to +10
• LUK +1 to +10

Each category contains ten food levels, from +1 up to +10. Higher-level food provides a stronger status bonus, but it also has a lower cooking success rate.

Requirements

Before cooking, make sure you have all of the following:

1. The correct cookbook for the selected food level.
2. All ingredients displayed by the Master Chef.
3. At least 50,000 Zeny for the cooking fee.
4. Enough remaining weight to carry the finished food.
5. At least one free inventory slot if you do not already have that food item in your inventory.

Cooking Fee

Each cooking attempt costs:50,000 Zeny

The fee is charged only after you select Begin cooking. If you cancel before beginning, nothing is consumed.

Success Rates

Higher-level food is more difficult to prepare. Bring extra sets of ingredients and enough Zeny if you plan to make several attempts.

How to Cook Food

Follow these steps:

1. Go to Prontera 136, 179.
2. Talk to the Master Chef.
3. Select a food category: STR, AGI, VIT, INT, DEX, or LUK.
4. Select the food bonus you want, from +1 to +10.
5. Review the recipe shown by the NPC.
6. Check the required cookbook and ingredient list.
7. Make sure every requirement is shown as available.
8. Select Cook this food (50,000 Zeny).
9. Review the success rate and consumption warning.
10. Select Begin cooking to start the attempt.

If the attempt succeeds, you will receive one food item. If it fails, you will not receive the food, but the ingredients and cooking fee will still be consumed.

Using the Recipe Checker

When you select a recipe, the Master Chef displays:

• The food name
• The stat bonus provided by the food
• The result Item ID
• The required cookbook
• The ingredients and quantities required
• The quantities currently in your inventory
• Whether you have all requirements

You may click an item name in the NPC dialogue to view its full item description.

The requirement colours are:

• Green: You have the required item or quantity.
• Red: The item is missing or the quantity is insufficient.

Important Notes

• Cooking is performed one item per attempt.
• The correct cookbook must remain in your inventory until the attempt begins.
• The cookbook is never consumed by this cooking service.
• Ingredients are consumed once the cooking attempt begins.
• The 50,000 Zeny fee is consumed once the cooking attempt begins.
• A failed attempt does not return ingredients or Zeny.
• You cannot begin if the required cookbook, ingredients, or Zeny are missing.
• You cannot begin if your character cannot carry the resulting food.
• If you cancel at the final confirmation screen, nothing is consumed.

Example

Suppose you want to cook a DEX +5 food:

1. Talk to the Master Chef.
2. Select DEX Foods.
3. Select the +5 recipe.
4. Carry the cookbook and every ingredient listed by the NPC.
5. Prepare 50,000 Zeny.
6. Select Cook this food.
7. Confirm the attempt.

A +5 food has a 70% success rate. On success, you receive one DEX +5 food. On failure, the cookbook remains, but the ingredients and 50,000 Zeny are consumed.

Common Problems

The NPC says that I do not have the required cookbook

Place the correct cookbook in your character's inventory. A cookbook stored in storage or cart will not satisfy the inventory check.

The NPC says that an ingredient is missing

Check the item and quantity displayed in red. Collect the missing amount before trying again.

I have the ingredients, but I cannot cook

Make sure you also have the correct cookbook, at least 50,000 Zeny, enough weight capacity, and a usable inventory slot.

My cooking attempt failed

Cooking is chance-based. The ingredients and fee are still consumed after a failed attempt, while the cookbook remains in your inventory.

I selected the wrong food

Choose Cancel at the final confirmation screen. Nothing will be consumed if the attempt has not started.
