Welcome to the GladiusRO Job Change Guide
GladiusRO follows the official Renewal-style job progression system while providing a centralized Job Change NPC in Prontera for player convenience.
Characters can progress from Novice through their applicable class path and eventually unlock supported 4th Jobs. The maximum level for supported 4th Job characters is Base Level 275 and Job Level 60.
This guide explains the required levels, available progression paths, and how to perform a job change in GladiusRO.
Job Change Location
All supported job changes can be completed through the official GladiusRO Job Change NPC located in:
| Information | Details |
|---|---|
| Town | Prontera (prontera,149,178) |
| NPC | Job Master |
| Service | Standard, Transcendent, 3rd Job, 4th Job, Expanded Job, and Doram progression |
| Maximum Level | Base Level 275 / Job Level 60 for supported 4th Jobs |
The Job Change NPC provides a centralized location for class progression. Players do not need to travel to a different town for every standard job change.
Important
A character must meet the required Base Level and Job Level before the Job Change NPC will allow the next class advancement.
Spend all available skill points before attempting a job change. Unused skill points may prevent the character from advancing.
How to Change Jobs
Follow these steps to perform a job change:
- Travel to Prontera.
- Locate the GladiusRO Job Change NPC.
- Speak to the NPC and select the appropriate job-change option.
- Confirm that the character meets the required Base Level and Job Level.
- Spend all remaining skill points from the current job.
- Select the desired class from the available progression path.
- Confirm the job change.
- Open the Skill window and review the newly available skills.
A character cannot change freely between unrelated class branches after selecting a progression path.
For example, a character who selects the Knight path must continue through the corresponding Knight, Lord Knight, Rune Knight, and Dragon Knight progression.
Standard Human Job Progression
The general progression for standard Human classes is:
Novice → First Job → Second Job → Rebirth → Transcendent First Job → Transcendent Second Job → Third Job → Fourth Job
Novice to First Job
A new Human character begins as a Novice.
| Requirement | Required Level |
|---|---|
| Base Level | No special Base Level requirement beyond normal Novice progression |
| Job Level | Job Level 10 |
| Other Requirement | Spend all Novice skill points |
| Job Change Location | Prontera Job Change NPC |
At Job Level 10, a Novice can select one of the standard First Jobs:
- Swordman
- Mage
- Archer
- Acolyte
- Merchant
- Thief
Choose carefully
The selected First Job determines the character's future progression path. A character cannot normally move from one unrelated class family to another.
First Job to Second Job
After becoming a First Job, continue gaining Job Experience before selecting a Second Job.
| Requirement | Required Level |
|---|---|
| Minimum Job Level | Job Level 40 |
| Recommended Job Level | Job Level 50 |
| Other Requirement | Spend all available skill points |
| Job Change Location | Prontera Job Change NPC |
Although job advancement may become available from Job Level 40, reaching Job Level 50 is strongly recommended to obtain the maximum number of First Job skill points.
The standard Second Job choices are:
| First Job | Second Job Choices |
|---|---|
| Swordman | Knight or Crusader |
| Mage | Wizard or Sage |
| Archer | Hunter, Bard, or Dancer |
| Acolyte | Priest or Monk |
| Merchant | Blacksmith or Alchemist |
| Thief | Assassin or Rogue |
Bard and Dancer availability depends on the applicable character requirements used by the server.
Rebirth and Transcendent Jobs
Standard Second Job characters can undergo Rebirth after reaching the required maximum level for that progression stage.
| Requirement | Required Level |
|---|---|
| Base Level | Base Level 99 |
| Job Level | Job Level 50 |
| Other Requirement | Spend all available skill points |
| Location | Prontera Job Change NPC |
After Rebirth, the character returns to a lower level as a High Novice and progresses through the Transcendent class path.
The general Transcendent progression is:
High Novice → Transcendent First Job → Transcendent Second Job
High Novice to Transcendent First Job
| Requirement | Required Level |
|---|---|
| Job Level | Job Level 10 |
| Other Requirement | Spend all High Novice skill points |
| Location | Prontera Job Change NPC |
The character must return to the same class family selected before Rebirth.

Fourth Job Maximum Level
After becoming a Fourth Job, characters can continue progressing to the GladiusRO maximum supported levels:
| Level Type | Maximum Level |
|---|---|
| Base Level | 275 |
| Fourth Job Level | 60 |
Base Levels provide general character progression and status-related development. Job Levels provide skill points used to learn and improve Fourth Job skills.
Maximum-level reminder
Base Level 275 and Job Level 60 are the maximum supported levels for applicable Fourth Job characters. These levels are not requirements for becoming a Fourth Job.
The initial Fourth Job change requirement is Base Level 200 and Job Level 70 while the character is still a Third Job.
Expanded Job Progression
GladiusRO also supports applicable Expanded Job progression.
Expanded classes use different advancement paths from standard Human classes and do not necessarily follow the normal Rebirth system.
Taekwon Progression
The Taekwon class family includes two primary progression paths:
Taekwon → Star Gladiator → Star Emperor → Sky Emperor
or:
Taekwon → Soul Linker → Soul Reaper → Soul Ascetic
The applicable Job Change NPC options become available after the character meets the required Base Level and Job Level for each stage.
Ninja Progression
The Ninja progression path is:
Ninja → Kagerou or Oboro → Shinkiro or Shiranui
The available class depends on the applicable progression requirements used by the game.
Gunslinger Progression
The Gunslinger progression path is:
Gunslinger → Rebellion → Night Watch
Super Novice Progression
The Super Novice progression path is:
Super Novice → Expanded Super Novice → Hyper Novice
Expanded classes do not use the same Rebirth sequence as standard classes.
Doram Job Progression
Doram characters use a separate racial class progression path and cannot select standard Human jobs.
The Doram progression path is:
Doram → Summoner → Spirit Handler
For the final supported Doram advancement, the character must meet the applicable Base Level and Job Level requirements before speaking to the Prontera Job Change NPC.
| Information | Details |
|---|---|
| Race | Doram |
| Starting Class | Summoner |
| Advanced Class | Spirit Handler |
| Rebirth Required | No |
| Job Change Location | Prontera Job Change NPC |
Doram restriction
Doram characters follow the Summoner class family and cannot change into Human classes such as Swordman, Mage, Archer, Acolyte, Merchant, or Thief.

Check the following:
- The character meets the required Base Level.
- The character meets the required Job Level.
- All available skill points have been spent.
- The character is following the correct class progression path.
- The selected class is supported by the current character.
- The character has completed any applicable prerequisite.

I reached the required level but cannot change jobs
Open the Skill window and check for unused skill points.
Characters are commonly prevented from advancing because one or more skill points from the current job remain unspent.
If all requirements are satisfied and the option remains unavailable, take a screenshot showing:
- Character name
- Current class
- Base Level
