GladiusRO Investment Guide

The GladiusRO Investment Centre allows players to invest Bronze, Silver, or Gold Coin Bags for a fixed period of 7 days. When an investment matures, the latest market price is compared with the price recorded when the position was opened. A successful investment can return additional Coin Bags, which may then be converted, exchanged, or sold through the relevant GladiusRO system to obtain Zeny.

Important: Investment does not guarantee profit. Market prices can rise or fall. A profitable position returns more Coin Bags, while a losing position returns fewer bags. In the worst case, all bags deposited into that position can be lost. You will never owe additional bags or Zeny.

How to Find the Investment NPC

1. Travel to Prontera.
2. Enter the interior map named prt_in.
3. Go to coordinates 137, 27.
4. Speak to the NPC named GladiusRO Investment.
5. The NPC's waiting-room title is Investment Centre.

Understanding the NPC Screen

When you speak to the Investment NPC, the first page displays:

The market price shown by the NPC is the quotation used when opening a new position. Always review it before investing.

How to Open an Investment Position

1. Speak to GladiusRO Investment.
2. Review your Coin Bag balances and the current market prices.
3. Select one of the following:
   • Trade Bronze
   • Trade Silver
   • Trade Gold
4. Enter the number of bags you want to invest.
   • Minimum: 1 bag
   • Maximum: 10 bags per position
5. Review the confirmation page.
6. Select Open Position.
7. The selected bags will be removed from your inventory.
8. Your entry price and opening time will be recorded.
9. The position will mature exactly 7 days later.

Example: If you deposit 5 Gold Coin Bags, those 5 bags are locked into the position and removed from your inventory. After 7 days, the number of bags returned depends on the entry price and the latest Gold market price when you claim.

Position Limits

The following limits apply:

• An account may have no more than 10 open positions at one time.
• Each position may contain no more than 10 Coin Bags.
• The open-position limit is shared by the account, not limited to one character.
• Matured but unclaimed positions still remain open and continue to count toward the 10-position limit.

To create more positions after reaching the limit, claim any positions that have already matured.

How Long Does an Investment Take?

Every position remains locked for exactly 7 days from the moment it is opened.

For example:

• Opened: 1 November at 8:00 PM
• Matures: 8 November at 8:00 PM

A position cannot be claimed early. It remains safely stored if you do not claim it immediately after maturity.

How to Check Your Open Positions

1. Speak to the Investment NPC.
2. Select View Open Positions.
3. The NPC will display each open position with:
   • Position number
   • Commodity type
   • Number of bags deposited
   • Entry price
   • Remaining time, or Ready if the position has matured

Positions are displayed in maturity order, with the earliest-maturing position first.

How to Claim Matured Investments

1. Wait until the position has completed its 7-day period.
2. Speak to GladiusRO Investment.
3. Check the Ready to claim count.
4. Select Claim Matured Positions.
5. Review the settlement preview and latest closing quotation.
6. Select Settle and Claim.
7. The NPC will calculate the result for every matured position included in the claim.
8. Returned Coin Bags will be placed into your inventory.

The result for each position will show:

• Entry price
• Closing price
• Profit, loss, or break-even result
• Total number of Coin Bags returned

The claim process can settle up to 20 matured positions at once. Under the normal 10-position account limit, this is enough to claim all available positions.

How Profit and Loss Are Calculated

The Investment Centre uses a forex-style leveraged price calculation.

First, the market percentage movement is measured:

Market movement = (Closing Price - Entry Price) / Entry Price

The system then applies 5x leverage to that market movement, subject to its profit and loss limits.

Investment result = Market movement x 5
Returned bags = Deposited bags x (1 + Investment result)

Flat or Unchanged Market

If the market changes by 0.50% or less in either direction, the position is treated as break-even. You receive the same number of bags that you deposited.

Maximum Profit

The investment return is capped at +120% profit. This means the maximum total return is 220% of the deposited bags.

Example:

• Deposit: 10 bags
• Maximum profit: +12 bags
• Maximum total returned: 22 bags

Maximum Loss

Loss is capped at 100% of the deposited bags. The minimum possible return is 0 bags. You will not owe any additional bags or Zeny.

Whole-Bag Rounding

The settlement result is rounded to a whole number of bags. Fractions of a bag cannot be returned.

Investment Examples

Example 1: Break-Even

• Deposit: 10 bags
• Entry price: 1,000,000 Zeny
• Closing price: 1,005,000 Zeny
• Market increase: 0.50%

Because the price movement is within the 0.50% flat band, the result is break-even.

• Deposit: 10 bags
• Entry price: 1,000,000 Zeny
• Closing price: 1,100,000 Zeny
• Market increase: 10%
• Leveraged result: 10% x 5 = 50% profit

The player receives the original 10 bags plus 5 additional bags.

Example 3: Partial Loss

• Deposit: 10 bags
• Entry price: 1,000,000 Zeny
• Closing price: 900,000 Zeny
• Market decrease: 10%
• Leveraged result: -10% x 5 = -50%

Returned: 5 bags

The player loses 5 of the 10 deposited bags.

Example 4: Complete Loss

• Deposit: 10 bags
• Entry price: 1,000,000 Zeny
• Closing price: 800,000 Zeny
• Market decrease: 20%
• Leveraged result: -20% x 5 = -100%

Returned: 0 bags

The entire deposit is lost, but the player does not owe anything extra.

Example 5: Maximum Profit Cap

• Deposit: 10 bags
• Entry price: 1,000,000 Zeny
• Closing price rises enough to produce more than +120% leveraged profit

The result is capped at +120% profit.

Maximum returned: 22 bags

How Investment Produces Zeny

The Investment Centre settles positions in Coin Bags, not direct Zeny. To gain Zeny:

1. Obtain Bronze, Silver, or Gold Coin Bags through the available GladiusRO content.
2. Invest the bags through the Investment NPC.
3. Wait exactly 7 days.
4. Claim the matured position.
5. If the investment is profitable, you receive more bags than you deposited.
6. Convert, exchange, or sell the returned Coin Bags through the applicable GladiusRO feature to receive Zeny.

Your actual Zeny profit depends on the number of additional bags received and the exchange or sale value available in the server.

Recommended Strategy for New Players

• Start with Bronze Coin Bags before risking more valuable Silver or Gold bags.
• Open small positions while learning how the system works.
• Do not place all of your Coin Bags into one position.
• Spread investments across different opening times instead of investing everything at once.
• Keep some bags outside the Investment Centre for other game needs.
• Check the latest market quotation before opening a position.
• Remember that a displayed price is not a promise of future profit.
• Claim matured positions to free account position slots.

Risk reminder: Diversifying positions can reduce the effect of one poor entry, but it cannot guarantee profit. Only invest Coin Bags you are prepared to lose.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I invest Zeny directly?

No. The NPC accepts Bronze, Silver, or Gold Coin Bags. It does not deduct Zeny when opening a position.

Do I receive Zeny directly when I claim?

No. The NPC returns Coin Bags. Use the relevant GladiusRO conversion, exchange, or selling method to turn the bags into Zeny.

Can I cancel an investment after opening it?

No cancellation option is provided. After confirmation, the position remains open until it matures.

Can I claim before 7 days?

No. A position can only be settled after the full 7-day period has passed.

What happens if I claim late?

The position remains stored. When you finally claim it, the latest published market quotation at the time of claiming is used as the closing price.

Is the closing price locked at the exact maturity time?

No. The system uses the latest valid quotation when you perform the claim, not necessarily the quotation from the exact maturity moment.

Can I invest more than 10 bags?

Yes, but not in one position. Each position is limited to 10 bags, and the account may have up to 10 open positions.

Are position limits per character?

No. Open positions are counted by account. Positions opened by characters on the same account contribute to the same limit.

Can another character on my account view or claim the positions?

Positions are associated with the account for viewing and claiming. Therefore, another character on the same account may access the account's open positions through the NPC.

What happens if there is no valid market price?

New positions cannot be opened without a valid current quotation. Matured positions also cannot be claimed until a valid closing quotation is available. Existing positions remain stored safely in the database.

Is profit guaranteed?

No. The market may rise, remain almost unchanged, or fall. Results may be profitable, break-even, or unprofitable.

Can I lose more than I deposited?

No. The maximum loss is limited to the bags deposited into that position.

How often do prices move?

The system attempts to publish a quotation approximately every 15 minutes while operating. Each automatic price movement can vary by up to approximately 2% from the previous quotation, subject to the configured minimum prices.

What are the minimum market prices?

The automatic market does not publish prices below these configured minimums:

• Bronze: 1,000,000 Zeny per bag
• Silver: 20,000,000 Zeny per bag
• Gold: 250,000,000 Zeny per bag

These are market quotation floors, not a guarantee that a player can directly sell a bag to the Investment NPC for that amount.

Troubleshooting

The NPC says I do not have enough bags

Make sure the correct Coin Bags are in your character inventory and that you entered an amount no greater than your current balance.

The NPC says I have the maximum number of open positions

You already have 10 open or matured-but-unclaimed positions. Claim matured positions before opening another one.

My position says Ready, but I cannot claim

A valid closing market quotation must be available. If claiming is temporarily paused, your position remains stored until a valid quotation is published.

I received fewer bags than I deposited

The closing price was lower than your entry price after the system's leverage and rounding rules were applied.

I did not receive extra bags even though the price changed

A market movement of 0.50% or less is treated as break-even. Whole-bag rounding can also cause a small calculated change to return the same number of bags.

My inventory was full when claiming

Keep sufficient inventory capacity before settling matured positions. If you are uncertain whether all rewards were received, contact a Game Master and provide your character name and position number.

Final Advice

Investment can be a useful way to increase your Coin Bags and generate more Zeny over time, but it is designed to include real risk. Check the market, use smaller positions, avoid investing everything at once, and maintain enough inventory space before claiming.

Invest carefully, be patient, and never risk more Coin Bags than you can afford to lose.
