The GladiusRO Custom Episode 19 Expedition is an account-based adventure system that sends players across the frozen lands of Isgard.

Unlike a normal quest board, players cannot directly select most missions. The Expedition Officer chooses one eligible adventure randomly from the missions currently available to the account. Mission objectives, target quantities, routes, and rewards may vary, making each expedition less predictable and more adventurous.

Expedition Officer

The Episode 19 Expedition Officer can be found at:

  • NPC: GladiusRO Custom EP19
  • Location: Prontera
  • Coordinates: 147, 160

Speak with the officer to:

  • Receive a Random Adventure
  • Continue an active adventure
  • Join the Weekly Grand Expedition
  • Check Ice Castle Reputation
  • Check expedition status
  • Travel to Snake God's Warmth
  • Claim completed mission rewards

Entry Requirements

Before using the Episode 19 Expedition system, the account must complete:

  • Episode 16
  • Episode 17.1 and Episode 17.2
  • Episode 18

These episodes may be completed normally or cleared using the appropriate Episode Clear Tickets.

Most Episode 19 adventures require at least Base Level 200. More dangerous missions require Base Level 210 or Base Level 220.

If the requirements are incomplete, the Expedition Officer will display which previous episode still needs to be cleared.

Random Adventure Assignment

Select Receive Random Adventure to receive an unknown expedition order.

The officer will choose one mission randomly from all adventures that:

  • Meet the character's Base Level
  • Have not been completed by the account that day
  • Are not currently under cooldown
  • Are currently available to the account

The mission name is revealed only after the player accepts the sealed expedition order.

Important rules:

  • Only one Random Adventure can be active at a time.
  • Players cannot manually choose the assigned mission.
  • The assigned mission cannot be rerolled.
  • An unfinished assignment remains active until completed or abandoned.
  • Select Continue Assigned Adventure to return to the active mission.
  • Abandoning an adventure clears its current progress.
  • After abandoning, the adventure assignment is removed.
  • Completed daily adventures become available again after the next daily reset.

Available Random Adventures

Episode 19 Expedition

  • Minimum Level: 200
  • Availability: Once daily per account

The objectives are recorded through two linked entries in the Quest Window.

Isgard Elite Suppression

  • Minimum Level: 210
  • Availability: Once daily per account

This is a more difficult combat mission intended for stronger adventurers.

Isgard Research Recovery

  • Minimum Level: 210
  • Availability: Once daily per account

The required materials are removed only when the completed mission is submitted.

If the mission is abandoned, the Quest Window entry is removed, but materials already collected in the inventory are not deleted.

Heart Hunter Emergency

  • Minimum Level: 210
  • Availability: Once every seven days per account
  • Target Map: Snake God's Warmth I

The seven-day cooldown begins only after the reward is claimed.

Abandoning the mission does not activate the cooldown, but all current kill progress will be lost.

Mana Core Research

  • Minimum Level: 200
  • Availability: Once daily per account

Rgan's Magic Cores are obtained automatically while the mission is active by hunting the required Rgan monsters.

Only the required amount can be collected for this mission. The cores are removed when the research materials are submitted.

Moryara Seaweed Hunt

  • Minimum Level: 200
  • Availability: Once daily per account
  • Target Maps: Moryara Coast and Frozen Back Route

The officer can transport the player directly to one of the supported hunting maps.

Isgard Exploration Survey

  • Minimum Level: 200
  • Availability: Once daily per account
  • Items Required: None

The player must survey three Isgard regions:

  1. Moryara Coast
  2. Frozen Back Route
  3. Snake God's Warmth

The order of the three regions is randomized when the survey begins.

Each region contains three hidden exploration checkpoints. The checkpoints must be discovered in the correct sequence before the route can be completed.

Players should:

  1. Check the Expedition Officer for the next assigned region.
  2. Warp to the assigned map.
  3. Explore the map and follow the on-screen messages.
  4. Locate all three checkpoints in the correct order.
  5. Return to the officer after all three regions are completed.

The exact locations are intentionally concealed. This mission is designed as an exploration adventure rather than a coordinate-following quest.

Isgard Lost Expedition

Follow four survivor signals across multiple Isgard regions.

The search begins in the outer Isgard territories before continuing through deeper frozen routes. Each signal must be located in the correct order.

Follow the on-screen messages after discovering each signal.

Isgard Rescue Operation

Trace emergency clues, locate the missing survivor, and escort the survivor to the extraction point.

The assigned rescue region is randomized. Players must complete each rescue stage in sequence.

Rgan Tracking Operation

Investigate three concealed traces before the expedition target is revealed.

After identifying the target:

  • Hunt the revealed Rgan monster.
  • Eliminate the required randomized quantity.
  • Return to the Expedition Officer.

Both the target and required number of eliminations may change between assignments.

Isgard Supply Recovery

Recover four missing supply caches across Isgard.

The cache route is randomized, and one signal may be a decoy. Follow the expedition messages carefully to locate the correct caches.

Mana Disturbance Investigation

Investigate unstable mana zones and defeat the creatures feeding the disturbance.

To complete the mission, players must:

  • Stabilize all assigned investigation zones.
  • Eliminate the required number of hostiles.
  • Return to the Expedition Officer.

The required hostile count is randomized.

Isgard Night Patrol

  • Minimum Level: 210
  • Time Limit: 30 minutes

Secure the assigned patrol posts and eliminate the required number of hostile monsters before the patrol timer expires.

Player deaths are recorded during the patrol. Completing the mission without being defeated may improve the final reward.

If the timer expires, the patrol cannot be completed and must be abandoned.

Frozen Treasure Trail

Follow a series of regional clues leading to a frozen expedition cache.

Players must decode three clues before recovering the final treasure. The route may include the Moryara Coast, Frozen Back Route, and Snake God's Warmth.

Read each clue carefully and explore the assigned region.

Isgard Cartographer Challenge

Chart five sectors on one randomly selected Isgard map.

The assigned map may be:

  • Moryara Coast
  • Frozen Back Route
  • Snake God's Warmth

Explore the map until all five sectors have been recorded.

Emergency Monster Outbreak

  • Minimum Level: 210

A random Episode 19 monster is selected as the outbreak target.

Players must:

  • Eliminate the required randomized number of outbreak monsters.
  • Locate the field investigation checkpoint.
  • Return to the Expedition Officer.

Both the target monster and elimination requirement are randomized.

Regional Monster Operations

Regional Operations select a supported monster from the assigned Episode 19 region. The target, hunting location, and required number of eliminations may change each time.

Frozen Frontier Operation

  • Minimum Level: 200
  • Possible Areas: Moryara Coast and the Frozen Back Routes

Hunt a randomly assigned monster from the frozen frontier.

The officer will transport the player to the region associated with the selected target.

Rgan Dungeon Recon

  • Minimum Level: 210
  • Possible Areas: Snake God's Warmth I or Snake God's Warmth II

Hunt a randomly assigned Rgan dungeon monster.

The selected dungeon floor depends on the assigned target.

Abyss Sector One Purge

  • Minimum Level: 220
  • Target Map: jor_ab01

Eliminate a randomly selected monster in Abyss Sector One.

The required number of eliminations is randomized for each assignment.

Abyss Sector Two Purge

  • Minimum Level: 220
  • Target Map: jor_ab02

Eliminate a randomly selected monster in Abyss Sector Two.

This is one of the highest-level Random Adventures available from the Expedition Officer.

Weekly Grand Expedition

The Weekly Grand Expedition is separate from the normal Random Adventure system.

It consists of three randomized phases:

  1. Exploration Phase – Locate three expedition signals.
  2. Combat Phase – Eliminate the assigned monster and required quantity.
  3. Recovery Phase – Locate and recover the hidden expedition cache.

The selected route, combat target, and required number of eliminations may vary each week.

After completing all three phases, return to the Expedition Officer to claim the sealed weekly reward.

Weekly Expedition rules:

  • The expedition has a seven-day cooldown.
  • The cooldown begins after the final reward is claimed.
  • Abandoning removes all weekly progress.
  • No cooldown is applied when the expedition is abandoned.
  • The weekly mission can be continued by speaking with the officer again.

Sealed and Randomized Rewards

Most expedition rewards are sealed.

The exact amounts are not displayed when the mission begins. They are generated and revealed only when the completed mission reward is claimed.

Depending on the adventure, rewards may include:

  • Mission Points
  • Ice Castle Reputation
  • Zeny
  • Base EXP
  • Job EXP
  • Snow Flowers

Some adventures randomize rewards around the mission's normal reward value. Therefore, completing the same adventure on different days may produce different results.

The Weekly Grand Expedition provides a larger sealed reward than normal daily adventures.

Important:

  • Make sure the character has enough inventory space and weight capacity before claiming item rewards.
  • Characters carrying Zeny near the maximum limit may be asked to reduce their Zeny before claiming.
  • Mission completion is recorded when the reward is successfully claimed.

Ice Castle Reputation

Completing supported Isgard adventures awards Ice Castle Reputation.

Reputation is shared across the account and unlocks the following ranks:

Reputation Rank Benefit
0 New Expedition Member Starting rank
500 Expedition Member Recognition within the expedition
1,000 Recognized Adventurer Improved expedition standing
2,000 Trusted Explorer High expedition standing
3,000 Guardian's Ally Unlocks a daily Snow Flower bonus

When the account reaches 3,000 Ice Castle Reputation, supported daily missions can provide one additional Snow Flower.

Players can speak with the Expedition Officer to:

  • View their current reputation.
  • View all available reputation ranks.
  • Check the number of points required for the next rank.

Expedition Status Menu

Select Check Expedition Status to view:

  • Whether a sealed Random Adventure is active
  • Missions completed today
  • Missions currently active
  • Missions available today
  • Minimum-level restrictions
  • Heart Hunter Emergency cooldown
  • Current Ice Castle Reputation
  • Current Mission Points

The status menu is useful for checking account-wide progress before accepting another adventure.

Quest Window and Script-Based Objectives

Some expedition missions use the standard Quest Window, while others use script-controlled progress.

Quest Window missions include objectives such as:

  • Fixed monster eliminations
  • Research material collection
  • Mana Core Research
  • Moryara Seaweed Hunt

Script-controlled adventures include:

  • Hidden exploration checkpoints
  • Survivor signals
  • Rescue stages
  • Supply caches
  • Patrol posts
  • Cartography sectors
  • Random monster operations
  • Weekly Expedition phases

For script-controlled adventures, progress is shown through:

  • Expedition Officer dialogue
  • Progress counters
  • Bottom-screen system messages
  • Special effects when a checkpoint is discovered

Not every script-controlled objective appears in the normal Quest Window.

Abandoning an Adventure

Players may abandon most active adventures through the Expedition Officer.

Abandoning generally causes the following:

  • Current mission progress is cleared.
  • Hunting counters are reset.
  • Exploration checkpoints are reset.
  • Active routes and targets are removed.
  • The sealed Random Adventure assignment is cancelled.

For collection missions, items already present in the inventory are generally not removed when the mission is abandoned. However, items submitted during successful completion are consumed.

Abandoned missions do not provide rewards.

Travelling to Expedition Areas

The Expedition Officer provides transportation to several Episode 19 locations, including:

  • Moryara Coast
  • Frozen Back Route
  • Snake God's Warmth I
  • Snake God's Warmth II
  • Frozen frontier regions
  • Abyss Sector One
  • Abyss Sector Two

The available destination depends on the active adventure.

Warning: Snake God's Warmth and the Abyss sectors contain dangerous Episode 19 monsters. Players should prepare suitable equipment, recovery supplies, and party support before entering.

Player Tips

  • Read every on-screen message carefully.
  • Use the Expedition Officer's status menu if progress is unclear.
  • For exploration missions, checkpoints must usually be discovered in sequence.
  • Entering the final checkpoint first will not skip earlier checkpoints.
  • Do not abandon an adventure unless you are willing to lose its current progress.
  • Make sure the account meets the required Base Level before requesting an adventure.
  • Keep sufficient inventory space before claiming Snow Flowers or other item rewards.
  • Check the Quest Window for fixed hunting objectives.
  • Return to the officer when a combat counter or exploration route is completed.
  • Weekly Expeditions and Heart Hunter Emergency use seven-day cooldowns that begin after claiming their rewards.

Varmundt Biosphere Bonus Drops

The expedition system also supports bonus drops on selected Varmundt Biosphere maps.

Supported regions include:

  • Grass
  • Lava
  • Ice
  • Death
  • Temple
  • Venom
  • Soul

Defeating monsters on a supported map may provide:

  • A map-specific Rune Fragment
  • A map-specific complete Rune
  • A map-specific Essence
  • Rare Engraved Equipment
  • Rare Varmundt Rune Equipment
  • A rare Varmundt Rune Ring

The rare equipment and ring rewards have a very low drop chance. A server-wide announcement is displayed when one of these rare rewards is obtained.

Players must have sufficient inventory weight capacity to receive the drop.
