Quest Episode 17

This guide helps players begin and follow the main storyline for Episode 17.1: Illusion and Episode 17.2: Sage's Legacy on GladiusRO.

Important: Episode 17.2 continues from Episode 17.1. Players should complete the earlier Episode 16.2: Terra Gloria storyline before starting Episode 17.1.

Episode 17.1: Illusion

Requirements

• Complete the main storyline of Episode 16.2: Terra Gloria.
• Keep enough free inventory weight for quest items and rewards.
• A party is required for certain memorial dungeons.

How to Start Episode 17.1

After completing Terra Gloria, return to the Hero's Room in Prontera Palace and approach Nihil M. Heine. Complete his conversation before continuing to Einbech or Einbroch.

A Rebellion Crew member in Einbech can direct you to the new base:

The main operation is based at the Cat on Bullet pub near Einbroch railway station:

Episode 17.1 Main Story Route

1. Cat on Bullet

Enter the Cat on Bullet pub and speak to the Rebellion members and Tess. Follow the active quest marker and complete every required conversation.

2. Investigate Rudus

The investigation sends players to the Abandoned Waste of Rudus in the northeastern Einbroch field.

Speak to the investigation team, enter Rudus, and follow the main quest markers. Some objectives require walking into marked areas.

3. Regenschirm Laboratory

The story later sends the party to a restricted laboratory entrance in northern Lighthalzen.

The Regenschirm memorial dungeon requires a party. The party leader must create the instance through Oscar before members can enter.

4. Investigate Patrick's Route

Continue the investigation with Lazy, Kaya Tos, and Aas. Important locations include:

• Einbroch
• Lighthalzen
• Lighthalzen slums
• Rekenber-related facilities
• Einbroch fields

Meet Lazy in central Lighthalzen when instructed:

Then proceed toward the slums:

Follow Patrick's history and speak to every highlighted NPC before moving to the next location.

5. Search for the Hidden Laboratory

The investigation continues in the Einbroch mountain fields. When directed, check the marked area around:

After completing the field investigation, return to Cat on Bullet and report the findings.

6. Sealed OS Memorial Dungeon

Later, meet the Rebellion Crew near the suspicious mine entrance:

Scout the three marked locations before returning to the Rebellion Crew:

1. ein_fild03 347, 219
2. ein_fild03 268, 207
3. ein_fild03 218, 266

The Sealed OS memorial dungeon requires a party. The party leader must open the gate and create the instance.

7. Complete Episode 17.1

Continue following the quest window through the remaining laboratory and Rebellion operations. Return to Cat on Bullet whenever the quest asks you to report to Tess or the Rebellion.

Episode 17.2: Sage's Legacy

Requirements

• Complete the required Episode 17.1 main storyline.
• Base Level: Above 130 for the early Sage's Legacy quest marker in the supplied server script.
• Carry at least 1 Yggdrasil Leaf before approaching Dew.
• Keep enough inventory space for Barmeal Tickets and other rewards.

Starting Area

The early Episode 17.2 route begins in the Varmundt-related passage area. Find the person in danger near:

• Map: ba_pw02
• Coordinates: 90, 93

Choose to help the person. You will need one Yggdrasil Leaf to revive Dew.

Episode 17.2 Main Story Route

1. Rescue Dew

Give Dew one Yggdrasil Leaf at ba_pw02 90, 93. After the conversation, follow the navigation toward:

Meet Magi, Mark, Lasis, and Dew, then continue to Alp.

2. Meet Alp and Enter the Mansion Area

Meet Alp at:

@warp ba_pw01 87 290

Follow Alp into the interior passage and continue through ba_in01. Speak to Lasis and follow the navigation outside to Varmundt's Mansion.

3. Meet Tamarin

Find Tamarin at:

• Map: ba_maison
• Coordinates: 70, 145

After the conversation, speak to Mansion Manager Alpha nearby to register as an official mansion guest.

4. Mansion Guest Registration

Speak to Mansion Manager Alpha around:

Complete the registration dialogue. The manager will ask you to visit automatic dolls near broken repeaters.

5. Check the Three Broken Repeater Areas

Visit the areas in the order provided by Mansion Manager Alpha:

1. Restaurant: ba_maison 146, 109
2. Pavilion: ba_maison 334, 143
3. Central Garden: ba_maison 245, 206

Use these commands if required:

Speak to the automatic doll at each location. After all three areas are checked, return to Mansion Manager Alpha.

6. Receive Mansion Access and Rewards

After restoring communication across the mansion, Mansion Manager Alpha grants access to mansion facilities and directs you to the tea house.

The script awards:

• 15 Barmeal Tickets
• 900,000 Base EXP

The tea house meeting area is inside ba_in01 near 206, 106.

7. Continue the Sage's Legacy Investigation

Continue speaking to the main-story NPCs in the tea house, mansion, laboratory, library, garden, bathhouse, and other marked facilities. Follow the active quest marker because several scenes activate only when walking into a hidden trigger area.

Useful Episode 17.2 Daily Quests

Guardian Parts Request

After sufficient story progress, Tamarin requests the collection of 20 Guardian Parts. The script reward includes:

• 2 Barmeal Tickets
• 500,000 Base EXP
• 300,000 Job EXP

Automatic Doll Communication Chips

Mansion Manager Alpha may request 10 Automatic Doll Communication Chips, obtained from Broken Beta enemies around the mansion. The script reward includes:

• 2 Barmeal Tickets
• 949,720 Base EXP
• 664,800 Job EXP

These quests reset after the server's daily quest period.

Troubleshooting

Episode 17.1 does not start

• Finish Episode 16.2: Terra Gloria first.
• Return to the Hero's Room and speak to Nihil.
• Visit the Rebellion Crew at Einbech 219, 80.
• Check Cat on Bullet near Einbroch 302, 329.

Episode 17.2 quest marker does not appear

• Complete the required Episode 17.1 storyline.
• Make sure your Base Level is above 130.
• Check whether another Episode 17.2 main quest is already active.
• Visit ba_pw02 90, 93 and walk around the location.

Dew will not continue the quest

Carry at least one Yggdrasil Leaf. Dew consumes one leaf during the rescue sequence.

An NPC or cutscene does not appear

• Walk around the indicated coordinates instead of teleporting directly onto the NPC.
• Check the quest window for an unfinished previous step.
• Complete every dialogue until the NPC closes the conversation.
• Leave and re-enter the map if a walking trigger did not activate.

A memorial dungeon cannot be created

• Create or join a party.
• The party leader must create the instance.
• Make sure your party does not already have an active instance.
• After creation, speak to the entrance NPC again and choose the entry option.

Important Notes

• This guide focuses on the main route and selected useful daily quests.
• Episode 17.1 and 17.2 contain additional side quests that can be documented separately.
• Quest requirements and rewards may be changed by future GladiusRO updates.
• Do not discard quest items until their related objective is complete.
• Always check the quest window after each major conversation.
