General Socket Enchanter Guide

The General Socket Enchanter allows players to add one card slot to eligible equipment. The NPC only accepts equipment that has a verified slotted counterpart in the GladiusRO database.

Important Warning

Failure destroys both the selected equipment and all 30 Golden Diamonds.

Socket enchantment is not guaranteed. Only use equipment that you are prepared to lose.

Requirements

Before speaking to the NPC, prepare the following:

1. 30 Golden Diamonds in the character's inventory.
2. One eligible equipment item in the character's inventory.
3. The equipment must be clean and refined at +0.
4. The equipment must have no cards inserted.
5. The character must carry exactly one copy of the selected equipment.

The NPC will not display equipment that fails any of these safety conditions.

Equipment Eligibility

The system supports 328 verified equipment upgrade pairs from the GladiusRO database. Each eligible item has an existing database counterpart with exactly one additional slot.

Important: The NPC does not accept every item in the game. An item is accepted only when the GladiusRO database contains a verified version with one additional card slot.

How to Add a Socket

1. Go to Inside Prontera at prt_in 53, 67.
2. Speak to the General Socket Enchanter.
3. Review the current Golden Diamond balance shown by the NPC.
4. Click the Golden Diamond item link to view the required item information.
5. Select an eligible equipment item from the displayed list.
6. Check the target item and successful result carefully.
7. Confirm the cost of 30 Golden Diamonds.
8. Review the 45% success and 55% failure rates.
9. Select Proceed to begin the socket enchantment, or Cancel to stop.

Possible Results

Success: 45%

• The original equipment is removed.
• 30 Golden Diamonds are consumed.
• The character receives the verified equipment version with one additional slot.
• A server-wide announcement displays the character name and resulting item.

Example announcement:

[Socket Enchant] CharacterName successfully added a socket to EquipmentName!

Failure: 55%

• The original equipment is destroyed.
• All 30 Golden Diamonds are consumed.
• No replacement equipment is given.

Golden Diamond Balance Check

The NPC displays:

• Required amount: 30 Golden Diamonds
• Current Golden Diamond balance
• Whether the character has enough materials
• Number of additional Golden Diamonds required, if the balance is below 30

The Golden Diamond name is clickable in the NPC dialogue. Clicking the item link opens the in-game item information window for item ID 1001480.

Why Is My Equipment Not Listed?

The equipment will not appear if any of the following applies:

• The item does not have a verified higher-slot counterpart.
• The equipment is refined above +0.
• One or more cards are inserted.
• The character carries more than one copy of the same equipment.
• The item is already at its supported slot limit.
• The item is excluded from the verified equipment list.

Troubleshooting

“No eligible equipment was found.”

Check that:

1. The equipment is in the normal inventory.
2. The equipment is at +0.
3. The equipment has no inserted cards.
4. Only one copy of that equipment is carried.
5. The equipment has a verified slotted counterpart.

“Insufficient Golden Diamonds.”

The character has fewer than 30 Golden Diamonds. The NPC will show the current balance and the missing quantity. Obtain the remaining Golden Diamonds before trying again.

The wrong copy might be selected

Place all duplicate copies in storage. Carry exactly one clean +0 copy of the equipment intended for socket enchantment.

Safety Recommendations

• Remove all cards before using the service. Carded equipment is rejected.
• Do not refine the equipment before socket enchantment. Refined equipment is rejected.
• Store duplicate copies before speaking to the NPC.
• Confirm the item name and successful output before selecting Proceed.
• Remember that failure permanently destroys the equipment and materials.
• Test the system with a low-value eligible item before risking valuable equipment.
